RCR-2400-PCSC is the latest development of the most advanced a manual insert smart card reader, in the original basis to do a substantial innovation that supports t = 0 or T = 1 protocols and PC/SC communication protocols. It is plug and play-CCID support for maximum mobility.
The RCR-2400-PCSC is a manual plug-in smart card reader for reading European ID cards. The RCR-2400-PCSC is the perfect peripheral for your smart card application. It is compatible with PC/SC and CCID, and its drivers are compatible with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and Solaris. In addition, the RCR-2400-PCSC is now available on mobile devices running Android TM 3.1 and later.
Supported Card Types
RCR-2400-PCSC PCSC card reader and ISO7816 MCU card work together, follow T = 0 or T = 1 protocol. It is also ideal for applications with CAC cards, American PIV and PKI.

RCR-2400-PCSC works with several memory-based smart cards such as:

• Cards following the I2C bus protocol (free memory cards) with maximum 128 bytes page with capability, including:

o Atmel®: AT24C01/02/04/08/16/32/64/128/256/512/1024 o SGS-Thomson: ST14C02C, ST14C04C

Daily Maintenance

1) use the cleaning card to clean the dirt on the IC contactor.

2) regular maintenance: the number of cards in and out of 20,000 times, need to clean and maintenance once.

Contact Maintenance: when there is dirt on the contactor, it will lead to IC Card and contact touch error.

To clean the contact needle, the main method is to clean the card reader with alcohol cleaning card, automatic test IC card operation.


1) keep the reader clean and oil-free;

2) IC card insertion direction: IC card chip inserted upward, IC card inserted from the front.
