Macau casino revenues slump in May: 93.2% drop

Macau casinos reported revenues of € 198.4 million in May, more than double the takings in April but down 93.2% year-on-year. Data for the first five months of 2020 indicate a sharp drop of 73.7%. Obviously, the very negative numbers are due to the lockdown caused by the coronavirus, so much so that the Government has announced that the first quarter of 2020 has shown a decrease of 48.7%.
