To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend the adaptive quarantine in the country until December 31, 2020. The government also tightened the rules for holding public events. The restrictions affected the number of visitors to such events.
Currently, Ukraine is not the only country where quarantine measures have been strengthened to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation, new restrictions are being introduced in Poland, Germany, Ireland, Czech Republic, Lithuania and other countries.
The Smile-Expo company, which organizes the Ukrainian Gaming Week gambling exhibition, takes security at the event very seriously and is concerned that visitors, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and media partners of the event do not put themselves at risk of infection and remain healthy.
In addition, it is important for the organizing team to implement the entire planned program of the event. However, due to the new requirements of the Ukrainian government, the exhibition cannot be held on the scale that was planned and it is impossible to organize high-quality networking.
Since UGW aims to unite representatives of the gambling industry from all over the world, everyone, regardless of their place of residence, should be able to get to the event. But due to the fact that quarantine measures are tightened in different countries, foreign exhibitors and guests may face difficulties when traveling to Ukraine.
Therefore, taking into account the current circumstances, it was decided to postpone Ukrainian Gaming Week to 2021.
By postponing the event to a later date, it will be possible to protect everyone who announced their participation in the exhibition or planned to visit it as a guest.
Moreover, the decision to hold Ukrainian Gaming Week in 2021 will allow the organizers to form an even richer program and provide unhindered access to the event for both Ukrainian and foreign participants and visitors.
Ukrainian Gaming Week is the largest industry event after the legalization of the gambling business, which will bring together industry leaders interested in reviving the legal gambling market in Ukraine.
The program of the event includes a two-day exhibition of products and services for the gambling industry, a conference with the participation of legislators, Ukrainian and foreign experts, an open lecture hall, UGW Awards and a party.
Organizer and venue of the event
The event is hosted by the international company Smile-Expo, which specializes in organizing events dedicated to innovation.
Ukrainian Gaming Week will be held on February 24-25 in Kiev at the International Exhibition Center.
